Ted Rheingold of Dogster & Catster chats about the Challenge of Building and Monetizing an Online Community

For this podcast I was lucky enough to sneak into the packed schedule of Ted Rheingold, the founder of Dogster and Catster, two online communities built around people's passions for their pets. The networks have grown dramatically since they were founded in 2004 and now feature over 1.5 million pictures of 300,000 different pets.

Eric Ly, former VP of Desktop Products at LinkedIn, talks about Social Networking and Entrepreneurship

LinkedIn, the leading business social networking site, has quietly become a force in industry with ~10 million users. Not a week goes by that I don't get an invite to connect or a question/request through it. For my next podcast interview, I was lucky enough to talk with Eric Ly, the former VP of Desktop Products at LinkedIn (you can check out his LinkedIn page).

Des Cahill of Habeas on Email Marketing and Online Reputation

Love it or hate it, email is here to stay. And as long as email is the killer app online, marketers will use it and so will our evil and distantly-related cousins, the spammers. For my 91st interview, I was lucky enough to get to talk with Des Cahill, CEO of Habeas, the "Email Trust Authority" company.

Des was nice enough to share his thoughts on the future of email, spam, feeds, online reputation and more.

Enjoy!
